Illetas
Illetas, despite belonging to the municipality of Calvià, is located just a 10 minute drive from Palma. This beach offers a taste of paradise, just a short distance away. This area is so-called because of the three nearby islets: Sa Torre, Sa Caleta and S'Estenedor.
Illetas beach is ideal for families. It is 200 meters long with golden sand and clear, inviting waters. It has sun loungers and umbrellas, as well as restaurants and beach bars. In addition to its main beach, there is also Cala Comtesa and Cala Xinxell, and the Illetas Tower, a military structure located on an islet belonging to the Ministry of Defense. This was built between 1577 and 1597 tin order to protect the area.
Palmanova
Palmanova also forms part of Calvià and here you will find the beaches of Son Maties, Na Nadala (also known simply as the Playa de Palmanova), Es Carregador and Son Caliu. The first three have great facilities for bathers, including hammocks, umbrellas, showers and bathrooms. On the promenade that connects them you will find many bars, restaurants, shops and playgrounds, making it the perfect spot for families.
For those who come looking for nightlife, there is a multitude of discos, pubs and bars in Magaluf, just a few minutes away. For day trips, there are attractions such as the House of Katmandu, Pirates, Western Park, Aqualand and Karting Magaluf. Puerto Portals or Palma de Mallorca are less than 15 minutes away by car.
