Beaches

Playa de Illetas
The coast of Illetes is one of the nearest to Palma town and very well for public transport, this is dotted with beautiful coves and off the coast there are three islands, Sa Torre, S'Estenedor o des Pas and Sa Caleta, which together form the “Ses Illetes” group. Facing the bay is a military fort dating from the end of the 19th century. Like the defence tower of Ses Illetes, it was first used as a signal tower and was part of the observation posts that stretched along the Calviá coast. Until the end of the 20th century, one section of the coast was closed off as it belonged to the Army, but it has been returned to its previous owners and is now open to the public.

The beaches in this area have all possible services: deckchairs, sun umbrellas, bars, nearby hotels, buses, etc.

Playa de Palmanova – Son Maties
Palmanova has a seafront promenade overlooking a wide beach that invites you to rest or to have a walk under the trees. The Palmanova beach was awarded the Q for Quality because of the services that it offers to holidaymakers, such as deckchairs, sun umbrellas, bars, lifeguard, buses, etc. There is also a great variety of attractions and water sports activities. The beach is 460m long and is located between Magalluf and Cala Blanca.

Cala Ratjada
The Cala Ratjada  Club Náutico (yacht club) is very near to our neighbouring island Menorca. A lot of boats moor in the harbour during the summer, before to continue its navigation to Menorca.

From here there are many beautiful coves to visit such as  Cala Agulla, in 1991 declared as Natural Area of Special Interest , or Cala Rotja a little cove  with a picnic area, or to arrive to  Cala Lliteres; from the terrace of its restaurant you can spring into the sea, also you can go to  Cala Canyamel situated between Cap Vermell and Cap des Pinar, it is 300 m long with fine withe sand and with all usual services.  At the end of july there take place the Canyamel Fiestas.

Playa de Cala D’Or
Cala D’Or, the Golden Cove, is a coastal area of about 5 kilometres long with a dozen coves, almost all of them with sandy beaches. Under the pine trees, the traditional Mediterranean architecture blends in with all the modern entertainment, activities and services.

Very appreciated by families with children and all who like beauty, peace, safety and quality. There are beautiful natural areas and places for walking trips. The spectacular marina, a natural park and the interior rural areas, makes Cala d’Or an ideal holiday area for all the family. The contrast between the commercial areas and peaceful, romantic corners lets you enjoy each moment as you please.

Cala Mondragó – Parque Natural Nacional
Cala Mondragó, is located in the South of Mallorca in the municipality of Santanyí and at a few kilometers from Cala D’or and theAparthotel Roc Las Rocas ***.

The beach with fine white sand and crystal clear water,  the spectacular cliffs and the inland areas, make this a very interesting place to visit all year round, and has become one of the main tourist attractions of Santanyí.

Playa Es Trenc
You can find the natural area Es Trenc-Salobrar in the south of Mallorca, in the municipality of Campos, at about 25km from Cala D’Or and the Apartotel Roc Las Rocas***. The area, with about 1500h, comprises the beach Es Trenc, the dunes behind the beach, the salt tanks and the cultivated areas nearby.

Es Trenc is a virgin sand beach, 3 km long. At the present it is one of the most popular beaches in Mallorca, with fine white sand and crystal clear water. The dunes form a dynamic ecosystem with vegetation adapted to the wind and salinity. 170 bird species glide over its beauty.

The whole natural area is surrounded by agricultural land, farms and country houses and nearby is the spa Sant Joan de la Font Santa.

Es Trenc-Salobrar is mentioned in the autonomous Law for Natural Areas (LEN) of 1991, which consider the areas to be “Natural Area of Special Interest” (ANEI), and classified as non-urban area.
